Tri-Valley Fix Our Ferals clinics are held on
a Sunday in the “even” months of February, April, June, August, October and December – at the East Bay SPCA’s Tri-Valley Spay/Neuter Surgery Center located at 4651 Gleason Drive in Dublin, CA. (Please do not call the SPCA for directions or information.)
REMAINING 2010 CLINIC DATES:
- June 27
- August 22
- October 24
- December 5
RESERVATIONS:
- Call 925-264-7703 as soon as possible in advance of a given TVFOF clinic to make reservations for that clinic.
- Clearly leave your name, phone number(s) at which you can be reached and the number of reservations you wish to make.
- You will receive a call-back confirming your reservation or letting you know you are on the waitlist (the number of cats we can take depends on the number of veterinarians and volunteers we recruit); your patience and understanding is appreciated!
- Those on the waitlist will be contacted no later than the week before each clinic to either confirm your reservation or let you know that the upcoming clinic is full.
- All reservations will close no later than the Wednesday before each TVFOF clinic – no exceptions. Those who bring in additional cats above the number they’ve reserved will have to wait until all cats with reservations are admitted and it is determined whether or not we have the resources to accommodate the additional cats.
ADDITIONALLY:
- Only feral cats will be admitted to TVFOF clinics. A FERAL CAT is defined as a cat that cannot be handled and could not be brought into the clinic without being trapped. Cats who display overt affection in the trap (as determined by the lead vet) will be turned away/not fixed.
- Cats must be brought in humane traps that are adequately covered (top and all four sides). Cats in carriers or boxes will be turned away and requests to transfer any cat to a carrier after surgery will not be accommodated – no exceptions!
- The right ear of each cat will be “tipped” (a small tip taken off the top of the ear) to indicate that the cat is fixed. This is standard TNR procedure – no exceptions.
- Kittens must be at least three months of age, three pounds in weight and in good health to be accepted into a clinic.
CLINIC DAY CHECK-IN AND RETRIEVAL:
- Check-in is from 9:00am to 9:45am; late arrivals will be accommodated when possible.
- Retrieval is by 4:30pm the day of the clinic – and we ask that you be available from 3pm on should we finish early.
- Any changes to check-in and/or retrieval times will be communicated at the time the reservation is made (check-in) and/or the day of the clinic (retrieval).
